FINDING A PATH TO STABILITY IN YOUR 20s/30s FOR YOUNG ADULTS
In our 20’s and 30’s we find that one of our immediate projects is to own any past trauma and choose and practice healing modalities. It is also the time when we must develop resilience against inevitable life shocks that come with living in the Roaring Fork Valley and identify andgive voice to the practical support systems (childcare, affordable counseling, housing options) we need to create in our community to reduce life shocks that can send us into crisis despite our best efforts to thrive). This evening will include an experiential process.
Organizer:
Jamie Butemeyer (life coach and Aspen Shakti wellness practitioner)

FOR YOU. BY YOU. WORK SHOPPING A CULTURAL MOVEMENT: GIVING VOICE TO (8TH-12TH GRADERS)
Are you concerned about the mental well being of the youth community? Are you interested in making a contribution by leading an entrepreneurial venture that impacts social change? Are you interested in helping to create sustainable mental health solutions for the youth of our valley? During this all-day workshop students will work together to create a campaign (with a real spending budget) to raise awareness and empathy for the youth community. Students will design and implement an ongoing campaign and roadmap to help their community thrive.
Students from Aspen to Carbondale should apply to be a part of a 12 student cohort. We will select a diverse group of youth to take part in the workshop in which topics of mental well being and support solutions will be explored. Students will dissect the current issues contributing to unrest in their community. There will be education about the human brain by mental health professionals and conflict resolution strategies provided. We will present tools for creating a trauma responsive community, which will include empathy, marketing and brand strategy, as well as implementation.
Tuesday, March 3, 6-8pm
